This is showing so well with savory fruit, dusty earth, medium body. Great vintage for Mo.

Pop and pour. This is showing beautifully now with savory red fruit, earth, and a touch of anise. Super value for club members and always delicious.

This wine was such a pleasant surprise! Never heard of Ayoub, but I'm surprised my Burgundy-loving friends aren't touting it along with Rhys, Littorai, et al as a domestic Pinot with an old-world bent. Bright red fruit with the perfect balance of forest floor and a high-toned long finish. Great acidity. I wish other vintages of this wine had the same notes, but it does seem their higher end bottlings do.

Long decant after 5 years in the bottle... light crimson color with medium to fast legs; which is a good sign. Mostly light mineral on the nose with a bit of rose petal and plum. Lots of smooth berry and dark stone fruit on the tongue plus a nice light blend of forest floor + mineral. Long finish 91

Pop and pour. Delicious, fruit-forward Oregon Pinot with blended berries and silky body with medium viscosity. Simple but effective.

Popped & poured last nite. I've had this wine before and my notes are consisitent. The major component here is ripe red fruit. There are some herbal and graphite elements as well, plus a good amount of spice particularly on the finish. There's mostly fruity and herbal aromas on this nose, and I found it very distinguishable as a pinot. Nice wine, if a tad too fruit forward...

Mo Ayoub's Memoirs wines never cease to astonish me with their depth, their beauty, their balance. This wine is drinking perfectly right now, and right out of the bottle. No decanting, no breathing before beginning to drink. A big wine with plenty of mostly black fruit flavors but not overly fruit-forward and, as noted above, well-balanced. A wonderful food wine that is also immensely enjoyable for sipping either before or after a meal.

Popped and poured last nite at Copake. Cherries and strawberries on the palate, along with some herbal notes and a lot of spice. On the nose, fruit and herbal aromas dominate, and it clearly smells and looks like a fairly young pinot. Drinking nicely.

Decanted >1 hour. Bold red fruit, graphite and hints of spice. Nice juice in the mouth, hint of cola. Tannins are medium. In a nice drinking window right now.

Pop and pour, second bottle of six from Mo's wine club. This showed beautifully right away with blended red fruit, clay soil, and buoyant acid. Unlike the last bottle, it went into a confused phase after an hour or two and became a little bitter. I pumped it out and returned to it the next day and it had emerged about the same as it started (perhaps a little more integrated but not too different). This is a great wine …

Popped and poured. More fruit than the Estate or Whole Cluster. A really good wine at the price point.

Lush Cherry with a hint of cranberry. Dried Herbs and truffle on the lingering silky finish. Head-spinningly good with our pork loin/w rosemary.

Has much going for it but I feel the oak and oxidative handling has resulted in a slight lack of freshness and lack of flavour definition. Still, has class, and is a good wine upon opening. Drink now.

Tapped into this early because we love the Willamette Valley 2015 vintage. Will sit on the other bottles we are cellaring for a number of years as this big wine wants to further refine its acid and tannin structure.

Bright medium garnet color, aromas of fresh cut wet cedar with forest floor. Black sour cherry with notes of cocoa nib on the finish. Not sure the pronounced sour (tanin+acidity) aspect of this is going to mellow enough with more time.

Really classic Ayoub. Smooth, a touch of sweetness but mild and easy to drink right from the first sip. A fantastic Oregon Pinot.

Light red translucent color. Light but juicy red fruit with balanced acidity. Not super complex but well made and quite enjoyable at this young stage.

PNP - needed a little air but not to much, but once that took place it came around to an enjoyable drink.

My first '15 from my favorite Oregon winemaker. This is his low-end cuvee and it was singing. Round, balanced red fruit with a long finish. I'm letting the single-vineyard offerings age for a couple years but I have five more bottles of this. If he still has space in his club get in now...he said he expected it to close by early this year.

Very impressive intro to Ayoub 2015. Forward with ripe juicy dark fruits. Lots of power but an equal amount of minerality and elegance for this level.

Pretty dark cherry in color and clear through out, with a perfumed nose carrying cherry, raspberry and forest-y notes onto the palate. Medium in body with zippy acidity - maybe a bit too much zip, making it a touch out of balance. Still a very nice Pinot with several years in front of it.

An understated wine. Pale salmon in color, with a mix of red berry fruits and a hint of cola. A little bit of forest floor earthiness and plenty of acid that makes the finish quite zingy. Not sure I would buy it again at this price point, but an enjoyable wine.

Dundee Hills Passport Tour (Dundee Hills, Oregon) : The nose carries lots of perfume mingled with strawberries and raspberries along with a faint note of sawdust. The fruit is gentle on the palate, but the grapefruit and raspberry flavors are still full. Nutmeg and oak show themselves on the mid palate and they linger out through the finish. The flavors linger well, and the acidity runs out enjoyably.
