Weingut Fritz Allendorf Riesling Frühling

Very good wine. Paired very well with salmon and Brussels sprouts. Paired OK with fresh corn on the cob. Good acidity. Very slightly sweet. Clean. A little mineral on the nose and palate. A little stone on the palate. A little melon on the palate. A little apricot on the nose. Not a ton of depth on the palate. I could have went a little higher on the rating. This bottle was given to me as a gift.

Nose is a little faint, slightly floral with some lemon sherbet. Palate is very clean and quite dry with good acid, with the zing and flavor but not the sweetness of lemon sherbet, a slight milky warmth, finishing tart and long. No rough edges, could use some more complexity but a very solid effort. 12.5%. $19.

Good with just a bit of petrol on the nose.
