Domaine Clos de la Chapelle Corton-Bressandes

Burgundy, Day 4 (Beaune, France) : I don't know what it is, but this just smells and tastes like Corton to me. Perhaps it's a meaty, broad-shouldered expression? Really nice complexity here with a mix of red and black fruit, but the acidity is bright, despite this being a slightly more brooding wine. Long finish. This saw 50% new oak because there were only two barrels.
