Intense showing fresh cherry and raspberry. Medium bodied and medium acidity. Honestly a bit disappointed for a $100 offering. NI:3, FI:22, FC:8, B:3, L:4

PnP. Frank over 3 hours. Deep ruby. Good depth and weightiness. Was great with a variety of cheeses. Would also do well with a well marbled steak. I should only get better with time.

A very nice red blend from Napa Valley. Dry on the palate and medium plus in body with medium acidity. Showing black fruits with cedar, light vanilla, tobacco, peppercorn, espresso, chocolates and mocha. Nice finish with round tannins and tangy raspberries. Drinking nicely now and will be better in a few years. Needs time to open up properly, but good right out of the bottle too. Good by itself or with food. A great sipping wine. Will be nice to …

This juice was not memorable. Soft notes of dark berries and silky tannins. Thats the upside. This wine just didn’t have character or complexity. I expect better from the famous winemaker.

Fruity, blackberry and cherry primary. A bit young now, but rich, solid balance, very pleasant drinking on its own. Medium finish.

Not very impressive. Poor QPR. An unsettled, disjointed, big Napa wine. Understand now why I picked it up for $50. If nothing else, far too young at this point in time. Strong tannins and acidity. Rough on the palette. Strange lingering aftertastes began to emerge after about an hour. Hints of a failed experiment. Would not buy again, even at $50.

Big and lots of oak, but this has the stuffing to be a fabulous wine down the road. It is very good right now, with a big mouthfeel and obvious, but not overpowering oak. Very nice to have had a chance to taste it at a dinner at Ambrosa.

Decanted several hours. Great nose of ripe full fruit. Medium body. Dark fruits on the palate. Didn't like the balance or a subtle twist in flavor near the finish (light peppermint?). I've gotten the same "twist" in my tastings of la sirena (worse) and screaming eagle (better).
