Last time I tasted this wine was in 2021, so after 5 years it was great to see how this Riesling evolved! Sight: lemon medium straw color Nose: Hello Petrol, burnt rubber has showed up to the party now after 5 years, Haha !! The fruit is relatively subtle in comparison from the past but remains ripe with primarily ripe envy Apple flesh, Red Apple Skins, and lemons. This is followed by a touch of peach and I still get …

Belle robe dorée. Vin texture crémeuse, sur arômes de pétrole et cire. Bien fait, bonne longueur mais pas pour tout les goûts.

Lovely golden colour promises more to come. A whiff of petrol on the nose is followed by a rich amalgam of tropical fruits, lime and lemon. The wine looks to be in its prime drinking window. The flathead awaits.

This was an excellent dry Riesling. Hit all the right notes with an extra dose of more tropical fruit like passionfruit. Very nice stuff.

Still drinking very well and has improved over the last couple of years. Tropical fruits, sherbet, lime. Medium bodied, well balanced, long finish. Excellent wine. I will continue to see how this evolves.

Hazy notes from last night. Eight years have given more weight and depth to this dry riesling. Citrus and stonefruit on the medium bodied palate, with more roundness and non-citrus fruits than in younger versions of this wine, with gives it greater complexity and palate presence. Very nice now, but no rush (A-).

Lots of petrol on the nose, but then softening to show more fruits over time. I really liked the weight on the palate -- it's somehow light but still substantial. Good acidity, paired well with dinner. Excellent bottle for the money.

Honeysuckle, graphite, light petrol on the nose. Similar flavors on the palate, plus citrus. High acididty, light body, agree with the commenter who said it finishes light a sauv blanc.

What a breath of fresh Eden air. Reminds me of one of my first wines consumed from arroyo seco from Ventana vineyard in Montery county. Lovely pine aromas and flavors , dense, great tension, nice Asian pear, pectin, citrus, touch of lychee with nice rounding acidity. A great example of a classic dry Reisling from old vines in a typically cool region. Good length with some interesting touches of lime & sage leaf, tangerine peal, and Spanish almonds. Would think …

This producer has been making Riesling in the Eden Valley since at least the mid 19th century. Started off fruit dominated but definitely still dry. Something Sauvignon Blanc lovers would like without the green notes because of the dry acidic style. White peach and grapefruit notes. However, salinic, stoney minerality emerges with time. A little spice too. This is about all you can ask for in a dry Riesling for $18. It could be more texturely profound, powerful and complex, …

Nice color, nose with honeysuckle and limoncello. Unusual burst of acidity in the finish rather than the usual smooth Riesling linger—not sure I like that, as it finishes more like a Sauv Blanc than a Riesling

I would’ve thought this was from the Mosel if I were served it blind. Lots of grapefruit, slate, peach, a little petrol. This makes me want to drink more Australian Riesling.

Charming rose petal aromas. Dry but not severe, there’s quite a creamy mid palate, and then a gentle refreshing uptick of acidity on the finish. A drink now Riesling, especially if you want to avoid petrol character.

Good color, medium gold. Nose has burnt match and flint, wrapped in honeyed note. Rich, oily viscosity to it. Definite honey palate, yet dry and decent acidity. Some lemon and white fruit there. Not a lot of length but nice enough.

I was lucky enough to visit the Eden Valley and the beautiful Pewsey Vale vineyard at the beginning of 2020 - a simpler time. The 2016 is just beginning to open up and put on a bit of weight. The nose is really seductive and gives up lots of lychee, beeswax, crushed coriander seed, lime, petrol and a hint of jasmine. The palate is quite rich but still really fresh with amazing acidity, lemon grass, lime, granny-smith apple as well …

Coronavirus lockdown TN #1: Meyer lemons from a semi-truck tire. Right up my friggin alley. Medium +++ acidity. Opened 4 hrs, btw, which has got to be why the guy who said no acidity can say such a thing, nless bad bottle. Anyhoo...Right up there with a top-notch young Mosel kabinett.

Blind tastings in Murray : Clean with a slight silver color. Moderately expressive with tart grapefruit, apple and apricot. Also a slate mineral edge. We all knew it was Riesling instantly, but had a hard time deciding if it was a dry old world or New world example. Did not taste like Alsace, but I was guessing a dry Austrian... Every time I try this Riesling I am impressed with the quality.

Clear, still, off-dry white wine. Color of straw, with hints toward green on the edges. While I associate the first presentation of Riesling with a honeyed freshness, this wine has a decided citrus note. Aftertaste is also grassy citrus. We enjoyed it with shrimp, but it would also be a good summer sipping wine.

Dry, bracing acidity, focused palate of lemon, apple, passion fruit, mineral/saltine, razor sharp finish with aromatic after punch. If you like this kind of Eden Valley, think Grosset Polish Hill e.g., then this is winner at this QPR?

What a wonderful Riesling- found it for $10 (insane), but it’s easily worth more. Not really petrol but a definitely pungent mineral note on the nose with a super-acidic, limey, flowery palate. My first “archetypal” Aussie Riesling and it was just as expected. It wasn’t extremely complex, maybe, but super delicious.

This has a fantastic nose, notes of petrol, a little rubber. Little fruit on the nose, if anything maybe some Asian pear. On the palate, I found notes of asian pear, lychees, a mineral flavor with wet stones, more earthy with a dry but elegant finish. The acidity on this is fantastic. I feel this can age a couple of years. Really enjoyed the non-fruit style of this Riesling, this is bone dry.
