Deep purple with slight garnet rim. Medium to dark fruit with eucalyptus and wet leather notes. Acid is firm and tannins fine on the verge of dust. Palate has the balance of fruit and green notes. Big wine — use the big glass. Based on the tannins drink now.

Intense, rich, elegant old vine Shiraz. Complex. Balanced. Long. Balanced and needs a decade.

Really exiting aussie-wine. Lots of delicious red fruit, black currant, cassis, chocolate, spices and flowers. The taste is delicious and velvety where the fruit and the 14% alcohol is perfectly woven together in a smooth yet fresh and vibrant manner without “tipping over” and turn into fake fruit candy. This is the real deal.

Quick taste on second day open. Can be enjoyed now with a long decant. A great example of full bodied, but balanced, Barossa. As the Duck commented, this is very much in the same style as Standish and Sami Odi. I will try keep mine for 3-5 more years before accessing.

Same bottle as collector. First wine in this double blind tasting. My immediate thought on the first sip was new world Shiraz given the clear pepper notes, which once again tells me not to quickly dismiss your first thought when tasting wines. After a few sips and given the combination of very ripe fruit but also good acidity I settled for Tuscany and had a blend a la Giusto di Notri in mind. Not a bad wine for sure, even …

Tasted blind. Expressive nose of dark fruit with a strong eucalyptus note pointing to Barossa. We were not sure if this was 100% Shiraz or a Cab blend. The finish is a bit chocolaty pointing to generous oak usage. Other than that it is a well made crowd pleaser. 14.5% Alc is also ok given its terroir.

Deep ruby red in the glass. The jammy, luscious aromas hit you straight in the face - stewed bramble, blueberry, blackcurrant, raspberry. Complemented by notes of sweet spices coming from the big oak dosage. Same and linear on the palate, not much interest beyond that. But hey, for the price, one can't really complain. It's a textbook Shiraz that represents what it is and where it's from quite right.

100% Shiraz from the biodynamically farmed Greenock vineyard. Macerated for 7-9 days with the skins, depending on the lot. Before the wines had finished the primary fermentation, the must was transferred to French and American hogsheads (30% new) in which the wines were kept for 14 months. 14,5% alcohol. Brooding, only very slightly translucent blackish-red color. Very intense and somewhat sweet-toned nose with concentrated aromas of blackberry jam, wizened black cherries, some American oak vanilla, light oaky notes of toasted …

Heavy, big shiraz. Pretty good, but was drunk too quickly for it to open up properly.

Strong nose of wood, chocolate, leather, strawberry, blueberry and Kool Menthol cigarette butts. Deep color of ruby red to almost violet on the rim. Sharp acid, thick, lush tannins, medium-long finish of fruit and tobacco. I really like this, screw top and all...
