Weingut Renate Zeimet Nitteler Rochusfels Elbling halbtrocken

A very unusual wine - elbling is normally very dry without much flavour, this is quite a departure. A very pale almost clear colour. Floral aromas, initially quite soft in the mouth with sweet honey flavours but then balanced by a kick of acidity with quite a long finish. Well made in the halbtrocken style although I've had trocken rieslings sweeter than this... (PS The vineyard is Nitteler Gipfel not Rochusfels)
