An inexpensive wine probably purchased in 2006 or so, moved from house to house 3 times and found for tonight's dinner of Prime Sirloin Strip Steaks and broccolini. We have decided to either drink or dispose of old wines that might be past. This wine held up surprisingly well. Nice nose, nice to look at - cork removed solidly. No sediment. Although we have many wines that would have been better than this, this was fun to drink and complimented …

A decent and consistent cab at a reasonable price. Not a blockbuster, but respectable. Strong punch of black fruit and a jammy quality on the nose, with a hit of cocoa and cedar. On the palate, more black fruit and an herbaceous note, good body. Good tannic component gives structure, long finish. Drink 2011-2013.

Not a great nose. The palate is pretty rustic, and kinda hot. Does not really improve much with airtime. Not my style. 84. 1/7/10

I got some cedar on the nose and lots of Black Fruit on the palate that lasted a long time. On the downside, I got some hay like or perhaps as some would say, "Barnyard" notes on the finish. The acids overbalanced any tannins that may have been there originally and I don't think you should keep this wine in the cellar beyond a few years.

Uncommonly spicy for a cab...more like a Syrah. Dark berries and smooth tannins. I wanted to like it more than I did.

Wine Wednesday: Cabernet Sauvignon (Willamette Wine Storage - Portland, OR) : Big time OAK MONSTER on the nose, holy nuts! AHHHHHHHHHHH! It's like hulkamania runnin wild in my mouth. Dark fruit, heavy and extracted on the nose and palate. The palate carries some plummy flavors, candied berries and heavy extracted mouthfeel. Takes a sour and acidic turn on the finish. Little to no tannin. This is what you would call a "BIG"wine. To bad it is to flabby and large …

Not as good as the first bottle I drank. A bit too fruity and had a strange metallic/veggie taste after about an hour after opening.

This wine was agreeable, but did not blow my socks off. We did enjoy it more as the evening progressed.

some vegetal aromas blew off after 30 minutes. There was some fruit on the palate but the vegetal-ness remained. I would say average but drinkable- gave it a 77 (5+7+11+4) but my dining companions felt it was much better and fruitier than i give credit...so I ll add 5

This wine is ready to drink now. Like has already been said, there aren't enough tannins to make this ageworthy. I found it enjoyable, but rather simple. Good if you are looking to drink it in a day, and just want to enjoy it; bad if you are looking for something memorable or special.
