The nose has almonds, nut oil, yellow fruit, dandelions, honey and lots of pollen, the sauv b edge keeps it balanced and fresh

drank quite cold, becoming quite gold in color, exotic, smells like tons of yellow fruit ,pineapple and melon on the nose,it tastes like applesauce, pear juice, and has a lift from the sauv b that keeps it moving on the palate and finish , full texture just thats what brought me back here...70% Grenache Blanc 30% Sauvignon Blanc a few months in concrete on it's lees I believe...no oak

2+hrs chilled nose is, honey, sunflower oil , a swirl reveals pear marmalade, hints of sauv b freshness lifts the almost apricot/orange marmalade in the nose, tastes like sweet and sour golden apples, sweet black tea, with citric finish, delicious , I do believe it is has gotten thicker since the last reviews though it was my first time having this it is far from thin...rich and staining @13% mature drink soon, youthful gold color...

2009 & 2010 Cotes du Rhone and Neighbors Blindtasted (Rich and Peggy's Home in Los Altos, California) : Medium chartreuse yellow color with 1 millimeter clear; tart grapefruit, lemon juice nose; tangy, juicy, lightly oily textured, tart citrus, almond, baked lemon palate; medium-plus finish (13% alcohol)

Bit of a green tart note. Fruit has a nice fatness to it though the body is a touch thin. Refreshing minerality is nice too. Again, a little thin but well built for the money. I like it

very sauvignon blanc-ish, very crisp and refreshing. And the price is unbelievable!

Bright. Green apple, grapefruit, and light lemon chiffon palate, leaning a bit towards tart. Decent minerality helps soften the impact. Med body, med acidity, short clean finish. Nothing special but a good wine, especially with food, and a solid value.

Mouthwatering, juicy, perfect for a warm summer evening. Reminds me of a Picpoul. Citrus, grapefruit, lime......a great buy.

A little more bitterness on this in a good way made it a bit less bland, but still just good. It definitely settled down from bottle shock the prior go round. 85-86.

Interesting blend of 70% Grenache blanc with 30% Sauvignon blanc. The latter was immediately recognizable to us, but this wine has more mineral and tropical fruits than the SB's we typically have. Pair with fish.

Golden yellow color. Expressive nose of tropical fruit, blossom, and minerals. Flavor follows nose with nice minerality and acidity to balance the fruit, with pear notes emerging. Made for a memorable dinner, an outstanding pairing with grilled halibut and roasted asparagus. A delightful, unoaked, non-citrusy alternative to the usual white wine suspects.

The red of this producer is faaarrr better, the white is very one -dimensional, a bit dying and bland on the palate.. A few interesting deep fruit and oily Rhone-ness notes swirl in and out, but I wouldn't buy much more.

Fairly bland stuff. Tastes like an average to good new world white.

A decent clean, minerally, stone fruit filled white. A tad 1D, but not bad...

Focused nose and palate of tropical fruits, green apple, and a touch of minerality. Med. body with good acidity and nice penetration of flavors, though this tapers a bit towards the short finish. Vibrant and pretty - lots to like, especially for the price.

Very good QPR at $13. Will buy more. Not a chablis, but a nice substitute.

Excellent.. Lovely wine with excellent balance. Crushed stones, apricot, and Mellon with nice acidity. This one will go well with food, but exceeded expectations as a stand alone aperitif.

This is a very good wine, very expressive with tropical fruit and a good lime-citrus underpinning, almost hinting of a NZ sauv. blanc. Good acidity, very succulent and mouth-watering..

Thursday French Wine Walk Around Tasting (WineStyles Columbia, SC) : When Eric Solomon imports, we drink first and ask questions later. This is delightful. Often with a high percentage of Grenache Blanc like this, about 70%. I get too much of that biting Granny Smith apple acidity. This one has so much big, focused, ripe pineapple, citrus and melon fruit, that you can bring on all the acid you want. Thus the good score. It is probably a little more …
