Sanglier Cellars Syrah Kemp Vineyards

Full bodied, big Syrah. Rich cherry, blackberry and spice flavors with a nice oak backbone. Well balanced, but young and tannic. Still, very enjoyable now.

Big Reds and Crisp Whites (Farpointe Cellar) : The nose had a massive amount of chocolate covered blackberry, some plum, and a big dose of toasted pepper at the end. The palate was juicy, with rich, dark fruit, some chocolate, and a big shot of toasted oak on the finish.

Saturdays at One - Volume 22 : WIML90 Purple color in the glass, clear hue throughout. Nose of roasted meat, blueberries, cocoa and currants. Flavors of currants, plums, black cherries and black berries. Medium acidity, tannins and body. Drink over the short term, perhaps into the medium term.
