Had high hope for this bottle. Enjoy with a buddy for his 49th birthday. Wine was very smooth and elegant but not much going on in the finish. A well put together wine of 23 years.

Smooth, just enough tannins, a really great wine that aged well

Clear deep ruby colour, no sign of garnet This was part of a collection given to me by a relative when their medication precludes them drinking alcohol. I don't know how it was stored prior but the cork was quite dry (my Coravin pushed the cork out partway then went into the bottle while trying to use corkscrew- dry and shrunk) High alcohol on the palate (bottle says 13.9% so close) med + acidity, med + tannins, med + body. …

Obviously well past the date if should have been enjoyed but it has been moving around with me for years. Cork required surgery. Strained it into the decanter which opened the wine up nicely. Enjoyed it with stuffed peppers and chicken soup. Nothing remarkable here - I am sure that this was a great wine ten years ago. The wine looks crimson colored. The legs are medium. There is quite a bit of sediment in the bottle. The body is …

Fully mature and in great shape. Tanins fully resolved and silken texture. Fruit remains and delicious. I wish recent Napa wines were made in this style.

This sat in the cellar for far too long and was a shadow of what it used to be. Last tasted in 2013, it is now well past its prime and sadly in decline. The nose showed leather and tobacco, overripe cherries and jam. On the palate firm tannins dominated the medium acidity. Twenty minutes in, the tannins softened to reveal a much silkier - though still sharp edged - wine. Some pleasing complexity as speck and salami emerged. Finish …

Drank at J$ this past weekend. Inky purple in color, a bit faded on the fruit--black fruit, with some spice--but overall nicely balanced. Not a wine I'd go out of my way to buy or drink but enjoyable enough

Big powerful wine. Darker then others on this night. Tannins and alc. balance the ripeness.

Nose was still there slightly. Upfront taste still had some fruit, but past its prime. There was no finish at all. Opened an '05 after this - huge difference.

Either I don't know what I'm talking about, or the other reviewers had a very different bottle than I had. I enjoyed this very much the other night with dinner. Thought it was a beautifully aged Cab that felt like it had some Merlot in, although it does not. All the fruit is still there. Slight, but very nice nose. Not a long finish, but just a beautiful well rounded and balanced Cab to me. I have lots of old …

This wine was past its prime and tasted like fading Bordeaux from a really austere vegetal vintage.

Wine muddy, with a great deal of very fine sediment. Consequently very dark-hued but nicely balanced tannins. Decent, but not special.

13.5% Small amount of sedimentation in the bottle. Still dark red. Very fragrant, notes of cassis and mint. Still has good tannic grip. Excellent wine - 89pts.
