Domaine Marc Morey & Fils Chassagne-Montrachet 1er Cru Les Chenevottes

Supper with Daniel (and the girls) (E & M's in the rocks, Sydney) : After the first two Chardonnays this proved a revelation! Stone fruit, a little butter, sweet spice, fresh citrus underpin, tiny honeyed notes. Equally fresh and vibrant in the mouth. Yum.

Relatively disappointing compared to my usual experience with this producer. Oak is too prominent / not fully integrated. Relatively restrained. Perhaps will improve.

Peach, apricot, sulphur and white chocolate on the nose. Palate was on the ripe side which was a surprise for a 11. It didnt have the acidity I would expect for a 11 premier cru. Accessible now.

P'nP! Preg av sitrus, mineraler, røyk, fat, trelim, eple mm. Fyldig, kompleks, intens og fet vin med god syre som balansere. Drikker veldig godt nå, men vil muligens ha oppside i 2-4 år til, men tror ikke denne vil være for lang lagring. Fungerte utmerket til piggvar og breiflabb kjaker med skaldyrsaus. God vin for årgangen! Kjøper gjerne mer av denne..
