Muscadet with a little age on it is a beautiful thing. Too bad I can�t keep my hands off of them as long as I would like. Nevertheless, this is a beautiful bottle that sings just now with muskmelon, fig, saline, and almond notes. Love the seabreeze description in the previous note. Tingling pineapple acidly and a lemony citrus note that runs throughout enhaced by saline, chalk, and touch of honey. Slightly waxy texture as it warms, but the acidity cuts right through it. Clean lingering finish.

Fresh and punchy, with tropical lemon and floral notes, and a less prominent minerality than I�m used to with leaner Muscadet. This is wonderfully approachable stuff that won�t hurt to age either.

As other notes have mentioned, it needs some time to get going -- for us it was only about 30 minutes. Typical Muscadet aromatics here, but pushed to the next level. Mineral, ash, lees, and apple-y fruit that just started hedging pineapple. Compared to, say, Chablis, this was a bit watery on the palate, but no complaints here. A strong buy that will reward mid-term cellaring.

One day, when I grow up and start acting responsibly, I'm going to remember to decant young Pepiere. This wine was kicking ass after about 2 hours of being open, and while I was on my last glass. Spot on, OHNE_MUSIK. Couldn't have, probably wouldn't have, said it better myself. Shares hallmarks with Briords, but the rounder structure, probably a product of both cuvee and vintage, make it less satisfying. Better on Day 2, so maybe some upside still to come. Still very good, but 2015 is not the year for me Chez Pepiere.

-- Popped and poured -- -- tasted non-blind over a few hours -- -- Diam cork -- Very nice. Nice salty/umami/mineral thing going on, but a bit softer around the edges than many Muscadet. Medium+ to high acidity, but not enamel-stripping. Good depth. Not watery. Very nice, and would probably buy again. I do prefer the Briords, however, and that one's a few bucks cheaper. Low-level excellent.

Shades of silver and gold. Melon (honeydew and cantaloup), anise, mineral and chalk with a bigness of fruit and mouthfeel. A tremendous wine with a tremendous paring. 12% alc. With mussels in tomato broth. Recommended.

Busting them up into the single crus I guess is the idea. Smooth drinking muscadet with lots of texture. Les notes a little more grip and structure than your average Muscadet.

The nose still shares the focused lemon, seaspray and chalk as the Briords, but in the mouth, it's not nearly as sharp/linear/acidic as the Briords (although it may also partly be 2015). This cuvee seems to be all about soft minerals and a silky, lustrous texture. Has more structure and needs a bit of air to start unfurling. Smells like a beach, all shell grit, sea-spray and seaweed. There is a riper element but it is not overtly fruity. If it is fruit, its of the yellow persuasion and it is a rich, voluminous wine with an airy feel. It has such a cool core with a saline finish and is the perfect beverage on this 38 degree Summer's day.
