Accidentally cellared, but that's a happy accident. Bone dry with a lot of savory herb notes and just a touch of strawberry rhubarb fruit.

A solid, well a balanced rose with some cool chinon terroir coming through nicely. Good QPR. Should be well loved and enjoyed by many.

Loved a bottle I bought from a local shop during the summer (see review). This bottle was delivered a couple months ago from a well-known Seattle online (email list) seller and didn't drink nearly as well. Good, fine enough, but not nearly as layered or aromatic. It may just be a phase or this is fading fast or the provenance was not as good. I've got another bottle and will see...

Refreshing with fruit that is still going strong. Wish I had another to check on in a few months.

Vivid pink in color, this wine revealed tart cherry, tobacco and watermelon notes on the nose. The mouth feel brought somewhat harsh acidity and minimal vibrancy. The finish was somewhat short in length with the acidity and fruit barely noticeable. Overall, the wine was missing the minerality that makes rose' so special. Purchased for $14US, this was a disappointment. This type of rose' is not my style. Imported by Weygandt-Metzler, Unionville, PA.

Every year this is a solid rose for a great price. Tart white cherries, richer white peaches, a brisk minerality but some nice tobacco and peppery spice.

Capitol Swills Sunshine and Rose Liquid Summerfest (HLo and Kyle's House, Seattle, WA) : Quite aromatic, strawberry, rosehips, briny minerality, seashell, nice balance, great alone or with food, decent acid, overwhelming favorite 1st of 6 by a mile, and also the least expensive!

Very nice, with just enough acid to keep it together without being quenching or tart. Medium toned rose, pink-ish. Dried tobacco leaf and flower petals on the nose, modest fruit of cherries and some stone fruit (peach?), some mineral / wet stone and salinity and dry chalk, medium finish, keeps you coming back for more.
