Domaine Fran�ois Mikulski Meursault

A blend of organically farmed Chardonnay sourced from several climats in Meursault, vinified separately and finally blended together. Average vine age 35 years, annual production around 9000 bottles. 13% alcohol. Youthful, pale grassy green color. Cool, fresh and rather youthful nose with precise aromas of sweetish white fruits, some ripe red apples, a little bit of creamy oak, light flinty mineral tones, a hint of pineapple and a touch of savory wood spice. Very bright overall impression, not really showing …

Subdued nose and palate. Oxidative notes on the finish. Slightly corked perhaps, or just passed over the hill.

Mivvy Catchup : Herbal, apple, white florals and lime. Good texture on the palate, the flavours are more restrained than the boldness of the nose. Mid length, maybe just lacking a bit of dimension.

Four good, sound bottles. Clean fruit and softening acid.

Litt likegyldig. Noe eik, overtydelig syre. Mye bedre dag to, syren stabilisert, eik roa seg. 2 Poeng opp!

Good village wine by a very good producer. This is still young, and had ample fruit, and acidity, with a light touch of oak. I enjoyed this village wine.

The wine has a touch of minerality, a little oak and some pronounced citrus notes. My personal preference is more minerality to the point of flintiness than was present. This is an adequate village wine but I much preferred the Les Meix Chavaux by the same producer.

Fine Vines Fall 2014 Portfolio Tasting : Tasting, brief note. Tart apple with modest spice. Leaner styled with very good textures. Good overall, perhaps not quite as good as the 2009 vintage of this wine that I recently opened.

Knightsbridge 2011 Burgundy Tasting and Sale (Northbrook, IL) : Tasting, brief note. Slightly less rich fruit vs Dancer Meursault just tasted, a little more energy. Also good.

Excellent !! Une bonne acidit�e et un petit gras en bouche . Sera encore meilleur dans quelques ann�es.

Delicious wine. Punches above its village level white with its complexity, acidity and wet stones.
