Mineral nose. Fruit somewhat muted at this stage. Blackberry, plum, pencil shavings.

Bright, tart cherry and raspberry fruit. Almost vinegar level sharpness right when opened, but the edge came off after 10-15 minutes. Still, it was a little overbalanced with acidity even after a couple of hours and never developed much in the way of secondary notes.

This is more of a fruit forward iteration of the varietal, but it works nicely here. Dark red fruit is first chair. Lovely spice notes follow with some underbrush in the background. Good structure and depth. Enjoyable.
