Domaine d'Auvenay, Meursault, Le Pre de Manche

The bottle was drawn from OWC. Based on the cork, the wine was in excellent condition without any slight sign of seepage. On the nose, it's one of the weakest d'Auvenay white out of two dozens I tried in recently years, the citrus and mineral are faint that you expect from a bouguoge. Didnt think this wine can further improve, but after 2 years, it did. Nose with more coconut skin and honey, more developed yet mot overdone. The flinty nose started to emerge after 1.5 hours and basically stayed at its peak for over 4.5hours. More rounded and fully mature, very long minerals filled finish, what? A village?!?

Golden color, ar first slightly reductive nose and s bit of sulphur. After an hour the typical toasty and nutty Leroy nose, medium plus palate with beautiful popcorn blended with wet stone. Still very fresh acidity and very balanced. A super Meursault village wine but so is the price. V long lasting, still singng over 4 hrs after I popped the cork. Only 237 bots for the vintage.
