First TN on this wine in over 8 years, but I am a believer that the '01s at all pradikats are just hitting their stride. At nearly 20 years old, this bottle had significant ullage and signs of past seepage. Extreme levels of oil and petrol on the nose, with a little butterscotch and melon. This bottle is a little effervescant and the laser like fruit I remember has receded some, leaving this slightly too acidic. The fruit that is there tends to the green apple side. Opens a pale chablis like straw color. Under capsule a hint of mold on the cork. Petrol funk and pineapple on the nose. Delicate crispness hammered with sweet molten syrup, candied green apple, lemon bar and chalkboard on the lasered finish. Warming brings out more tropical notes in the aroma and palate and it rounds out a bit. Minute carbonation detected. Some matchstick, intense minerals, tangy fruit, very tasty

Ideal age to consume this - the sulfur aromas blew of quickly leaving a very well balanced, vanilla scented riesling. Very fresh and pure with fruit being very fresh tasting. The wines character really comes out at this age rather than the bracing beverage this was 5 years ago.

A bit flat, else tasty, has an oxidized, burnt matchstick aroma, tangy, citrus, fruit, still a tasty wine'

Un-fricking-believable. Rock-quarry nose. Each taste of this is like getting smacked in the jaw by a giant fist made of stone.

Straw colored, with a bit of sulfer initially on the nose. Lots of pear and a bit of tropical fruit (pineapple?) on the nose as well. A bit of spritz early on. I found this to have more tart green apple to it than I expected, although the longer the bottle was open, the more the warmer citrus and pineapple fruit flavors began to become apparent.
