Trying this again about 6 months later, not so impressed. Heavy for a Pinot. Pepper. Very dark color for a Pinot. Charcoal, spicey, evergreen. Even some cloves and licorice. But even considering this is Pinot from non traditional terroir, a little too vegetal and chemical. It does air out a bit.

Aromas: dried cranberries, vegetal notes (celery, green pepper). I might be wrong with vegetal but it was quite overpowering and the wine didn’t smell fruity at all. Taste: not tannic at all, quite mineral. Dry as hell and a pretty bitter flavor actually. Notes of sour black cherry and cranberry. The bottle says strawberry but I’m not getting that at all. Medium finish and light body. Also this wine’s from Cachapoal Valley, Chile. Wouldn’t recommend this wine at all, easily …

Has some Pinot style bright medium bodied cherry fruit. Mild but appropriate acid. Some secondary vanilla and red licorice that is quite welcome on an about 8 dollar wine.
