This wine has evolved from a tannic mess to a beautiful wine over 15 years. I almost threw out the rest of the case after the 1st bottle. Striking metamorphasis. A prime example of open no wine before its time. PNP. Red fruit, currants and minerality.Tannins finally resolved.

A wine that should not have been opened until 2023. PNP and drank well. Red fruit, currants and minerality. Long finish with tannins still present.

A Jeklly / Hyde of a wine. Day 1 horrible, recorked & several days later this is a totally different wine. Both my wife and I liked it. Red fruit, currants and acidity on the palate. Long somewhat tannic finish. This is a wine we should not have opened for 15-20 years... Lengthy decant via Vinturi a must.

Drank in January 2015. What a mess of a wine! The astringency is off the roof with this wine, and it is not a "a few more years it'll get better" type, it is more aligned to cold overnight cheap black tea concentrate. I tasted it again after 24 hours, astringency level did not decrease. I couldn't taste any flavor in this wine because of its overpowering astringency. Avoid at all cost.
