Facelli Winery Cabernet Franc Bacchus Vineyard

Great wine. Powerful nose. Black pepper and tobacco. I wish I had more than three bottles left.

This wine is drinking very well in the first third of 2012. Wish I'd have made oregano-heavy pizza to go with it. The color is still beautiful, but the legs have gone a bit. Drink it if you've got it!

I confess I didn't spend much time making notes on this one. Color was deep purple. Decent legs in the glass. Licorice, fruit, and earth on the nose. This was a very drinkable offering. Tannins were well-blended and integrated. Good mouthfeel. We had this with ravioli in a marinara sauce and sauteed asparagus, onion, broccoli, and sun-dried tomatoes. It paired very nicely with this. Rate 85 - 88, good but not excellent.
