Still pretty tannic, likely from the tannat. Suggest drinking this with food rather than on its own.

Heavily extracted, syrupy, almost oily. Overdone and flabby for the most part. Horrible QPR.

Very fruit forward, flavors of blackberry, cherry, come through. Has 48% Merlot, 28% Tannat, 20% Malbec, 3% Cab Sauv, and 1% Petit Verdot. Smooth tannins from the oak make it smooth and easy to drink. Best paired with grilled meats with spices and herbs. We had with baked chicken in a marinara sauce with peppers and onions over a bed of angel hair pasta.

nicer than I expected. A bit austere but benefited from decanting and went nicely with dinner.

Wonderful wine with great character. I thought we'd waited to long...not the case. Great bottle.

This wine was fantastic. Not sure it will get any better than it is now, but it clearly was not on the decline. Subtle tannins, great nose and finish. Looking forward to comparing to later vintages.

Last bottle. Very disappointing. Corked. Wish I had pulled this one first in the series.

Deep dark ruby red. Blackberry and spice nose. Sweet blackberry flavor with a bit of spice and nicely rounded tannin characteristic of a wonderfully mature wine. Very elegant

Not really sure what to make of this. Nose of dried fruits, but as the wine enters the mouth I get a tiny bit of corked aroma with subdued fruit on the palate. After 60 minutes of air the funk kind of blows away, and some of the fruit comes through, but just a little bit. I think this wine has seen better days. I was a big Stacey Clark fan in the early 2000s, but this one is not …

Very smooth elegant wine, drinking great at the moment, think it has more time.

Wonderfully smooth - silky and touches of oak and finishing with a bit of pepper! Very Good.

Nice blend of Malbec, Petit Verdot, Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot. This wine provides a style in between a soft elegant wine and a powerful Napa Cabernet. Black currants, dark fruits, mint, and star anise provide a nice aromas.

Opened not decanted. Dark purple color with a whiff of alcohol and over ripe fruit; slightly sweet taste of raisins, berries and chocolate; not overly tannic with a little sour 10 second finish.
