Villa a Tolli Rosso di Montalcino

(Day 2 notes) Cork soaked 3/4 through but no noticeable spoilage. Plum-brickish color, mostly opaque edges and clear meniscus. Orange peel and earth evident in the nose, along with a melange of cedar, peppercorn, and savory elements. Plenty of alcohol still apparent on day 2. Taste of raspberry/cherry, cranberry cocktail, some cola flavors and coffee. The acidity is there at first but tapers early, leaving a finish reminiscent of cough syrup. Thickish mouthfeel contributes to this.

Orange peel, red cherry, a little bit heady with roses; smooth, ripe red fruits and savory notes; medium minus body, higher acidity; fine tannins. In neutral tonneau. 91-92
