Château Valcombe Ventoux Blanc Epicure

Austere isn't the right description here, but there is a certain vacant quality to this bottle. Somewhat generic crisp citrus herbaceousness, but then that floral perfume comes in for the kill on the back palate. This was easily quaffed with pleasure, if not a huge amount of interest.

Fresh and light on the front palate with bright, almost faint, citrus and orchard fruits. The back palate has a quite a funereal oomph, with heavy perfume and lillies - just a tad overwhelming for my palate. Quite nice with light fish dishes though.

Stor flaskevariation. Lys i farven. Denne startede med vanilie (!) i duften. Senere kom der æbler. Meget anonym i smagen. Mindede mere om en italiener i den billige ende. Proppen var fin og jeg kunne ikke finde tegn på prop. Bliver interessant med den næste flaske.

Grønne æbler i duften. Kraftig og aromatisk. Var en god ledsager til osso bucco.
