Consistent with previous bottles and in no danger of outliving its usefulness anytime soon. I just realized that these set me back a whopping $29 per bottle. I could name any number of 2010 Napa cabernets that cost 2, 3, or even 4 times $29 that weren't this good and are now decidedly over-the-hill or even DOA. It's a crying shame that more Napa vintners can't or won't deliver this much quality at this low of a price.

Textbook Napa Cab. Mostly plums and American oak on the nose. Plums and dark cherries on the palate. Reasonably rich, with a pretty damned good finish. Just a solid wine. I remember when there were a ton of $40 to $50 Napa Cabs like this. Now - just a few. You can spend three times as much for a Caymus or four times a much for a PlumpJack, but you won't get as good of a wine.

Drank from 6L. This wine lasted a large party and tasted great throughout the evening. I was concerned that it would go flat in an hour or 2 in decanters, but the bottle was beautiful. Still good primary fruit, medium palate and medium finish. Not the greatest Napa can, but solid.

This bottle was exceptional....I think it is aging nicely. I hope all my 2010's are aging as well.

Mostly plums on the nose, but the flavor profile leans more red, primarily bing cherries. Medium to full body, fairly rich, and a nice finish. Beautifully balanced right now, with enough backbone to match with the grilled steaks we had. Seems to be at its peak, and I'm not sure how long it will be there. Not a religious experience, but just a solid Napa cab. Exceptional value - I'd take three of these for one from Caymus or Plumpjack …

Drinking really well. It has softened nicely but still has the Napa Cab fruit. Not extraordinary but very good and (was) well priced.

Very soft, balanced, nothing is standing out, fruit is soft and leans toward red plum, currants, cassis, balanced by hints of cedar, truffle and black tea. Overall this cab is quite elegant and restrained by California standards.

Very average. Not sure what score average gets, but for me it’s 87. Decent nose, but lacks depth, fruit, and finish. Lots of oak and chocolate that can’t overcome this wine’s lack of fruit and blandness.

Drank from a 6L. Beautiful right now. Tannins are integrated. Dark fruit. Some leather in the mix as well.

Blueberries on the nose. Serious dark fruit, some wood and piney notes, a bit of a bitter finish but very nice. Fine mouthfeel. Should be good for another couple years.

This is singing like a bird now - more intense, resolved and grown-up than I remember. Tasted alongside a supposedly 96pt Substance Powerline cab from Washington State which was anemic by comparison. 92+pts

A classic, Napa Valley Cabernet. Currant and black fruit aromas and flavors are flanked by a whiff of chocolate and a drop of Balsam. Full bodied and structured, warm and accessible, a touch woody but never oaky, it opens up rather nicely after a 2-hour decant. Restrained, resinous, and flavorsome.

At first this was harder and more austere than I remember, but opened up after a half hour - a good value at $30ish - nice acidity, dark fruit, some menthol and forest floor.

Restaurant wine, so no time for real decant. Very nice dark fruit up front, fine tannins. This was the last bottle on hand of the '10, and I am glad they found it. Everyone enjoyed.

Agree with the crowd that this is a great QPR wine. Excellent fruit profile front, mid, and finish. Some smoke and vanilla add to the mix in a positive way. Tannins a little too muted prevent it from a higher score.

excellent QPR near $30. Tastes much more highly priced. We have always loved SG cabs (we have been drinking them regularly since the 70s). The were made in the classic Bordeaux style --expressive and sleek, great food wines, very complex, not fruit bombs. We have their Napa Valley one since 2007. We had noticed Michael Trujillo's influence in the single vineyard cabs, which were getting even bigger and darker. And this NV Cab is different from the old NV Cab …

Impressive cassis with leather and spiced tones. Decant for two hours. A great partner to a rack of lamb - Dijon, rosemary , pepper and garlic. ....or on its own.

Good not great, somewhat simple. PnP nose was hard to define. On the palate some vanilla (still young oak?), red cherries, meat, blood, iron without overly metallic notes. After 30 min, some plum notes almost prunish. Short to medium finish. Great qpr at $35, interesting to see where this goes after a few more years.

We drink this wine every year in mid-October because it was the wine we had in 2006 the night our offer on our lake house in Maine was accepted. We had no plans to buy a second home and had stopped at th NH Liquor store on the way up and I grabbed this wine, it was 2002 vintage. So to celebrate we buy a bottle each year from the NH store to open in October. This was one of …
