A smooth and gentle nose of sweet earth. The palate was surprising, with the Cabernet tannins surprising those expecting the gentle nose but not overwhelming the taster. Plum and wild cherry with earth and milk chocolate. Wine is fruitier than the nose suggests. An interesting contrast. Light-medium bodied and a tannic finish that lingers extremely long but gently.

Well balanced with cassis, tropical fruit and coffee tones on both the nose and palette. Crispy acid which harmonized nice with grilled pork marinated with marmalade and soya sauce. Good combination! The acid was not as clear when the wine was drunk after dinner.
