When one receives a bottle of wine as a gift, especially from someone who doesn't drink wine, it is always a pleasant surprise when it turns out to be drinkable. The label on this says it is a "Rhone-Style Blend," and that is actually pretty much what it tastes like. Dark color, lots of Syrah in the nose.
