This is the blend of 66% Piedmont barbera and 34% Languedoc cabernet made for M&S originally priced at £16. Not worth that much but it's very very good. Slightly modern in its simple fruit-driven accessibility (French oak is used for maturation). But the flavour and mouth-feel is fresh, long and satisfying with a distinct and delicious sour cherry/plum-skin Italianate tang.
