Made of of 85% Cabernet Sauvignon and 15% Merlot. 2006 Annie's Lane Cabernet-Merlot has vibrant crimson hues with a very dark core. On the nose it exhibits black currant, cherry, violet, sweet oak and some dusty notes. Medium bodied, silky mouth feel, with dark sweet fruits and black currant and some leafy notes. Medium+ finish and ripe tannins. Not a bad wine.

Inky with ever so slight purpling at the edges. Closed, opening to blackcurrants and backdrop of menthol. Smooth on the palate with cassis, blackcurrant but somewhat tart on the mid, finishing with some subtle oak and mocha flavours that linger. Fair value.
