My last bottle. Still juicy and delicious.

Lovely nose, nice flavors (dark cherry notes, soft mossy earth, almost Burgundy-like tartness on the finish) but the intensity of both is just a little bit lacking for me. I would say it’s very good to excellent, but not fantastic. I will note that the last glass (about 3 hours after opening) was the best, so give it plenty of air first. No signs of fruit fading though — this has a lot of life left yet.

I have to respectfully disagree with @JClark6. Let it open up for an hour, and it shines. Red and blue fruits layer over earth and forest floor. Well integrated tannins, moderate alcohol, moderate plus complexity and finish. For under $40 on sale or special deal, this is a very nice wine, and drinking beautifully right now.

Not as impressed. Too light, lacking flavor

Still fresh cranberry fruit layered over leather and earth aging characteristics; well integrated tannins. Drink this now. Winery with Katie.

Echoed a bottle from earlier this year. This is a medium PN. Very tasty. Drinking very well right now.

Burgundian style. On the lighter weight side, however, the primarily red fruits were concentrated and nicely layered. Strawberries jubilee, rhubarb, hint of red raspberry and boysenberry. Really opened up on 2nd night, acidity level ideal. Should hold its own for the next 3-5 years.

Wine can sometimes be a mystery. The first bottle I had of this one, in late 2019, was very good. I rated it highly. The next bottle consumed almost a year ago was just so-so. This bottle is right back to my experience with the first bottle. The bottles were all purchased together and stored in the same place. The style of this wine is in line with my preference in PN style......a deep/dark wine with a lot going on.

My first bottle in about a year and a half. No detailed tasting notes, but the bitterness I noticed last time is completely gone. Quite delicious now—a lovely mix of earth, minerality, and a bit of blue and black fruit.

Stems black fruit, tea and cola, old world homage. Alcohol is a bit high. But it’s still balanced

Drinking really well. Red and black fruit, high acidity, earthy notes, some smoky notes maybe from charred oak? Great all around

Lovely wine and drinking well now. Delicate, light almost floral but with focused and well balanced flavors, virtually no flaws. A bit light on the finish but just a pleasant bottle.

This wine is still quite tight. Has some teasing spice notes on the nose but the pallet is shy at this point. Hopefully a few more years will add some weight so I will wait.

Thanksgiving Weekend in Willamette; 11/25/2021-11/27/2021 (Willamette Valley OR) : Tasted at the winery. Precocious red cherry, nicely bright and tasty with medium+ concentration. Good now.

Definitely improving with age; the nose is more open with lovely dark fruit, baking spice, a bit of forest floor, and violet. The palate is also more open with the tannin taming some and resulting in a silkier feel and better balance. Lovely stuff.

I had lost track of these bottles in my Wine Room and had not had a bottle since late 2019. It was very good then. It is so-so now.....not bad.....just not up to what it was. The bottles have been well stored. So, this may be a signal that it is time to drink up. There is not much going on.....not a lot of favor.

Willamette Valley June 17 - 19 Tastings : Aromas of fig fruit, anise, violet, clove, paprika and mushroom. Richly layered palate with fig jam fruit, cedar spices, and melted stone minerality. Round and mouth-filling with elegant density and nice tension throughout. Fine firm tannins and good length.

Tasted alongside the 2018, this was far more rounded and enjoyable. Should continue to improve, 92+.

Had this with a Zoom wine tasting led by the Vineyard owner, Larry Stone. Just coming into its own. Thought it was very enjoyable. Let it decant for over an hour before but didn't notice much difference between the initial tasting and later.

Tasted at the winery; this has lots of spice and dark fruits with some underlying underbrush and an almost peppery type hint; with air some minerality and more fruit; the palate shows some tannins and good concentration and it seems like this has several years ahead of it.
