Well past its prime. Bottle was delivered by Columbia Crest right before CoVID and was in my cellar and had been overlooked. The bottle was completely stopped up with sediment, but once filtered into a decanter was drinkable. Had a very soft nose, but there were hints of dark fruit and leather. Pnp tableside. Red, black fruit and some earth on nose n palate. Mature but not over the hill. Good pairing w our steak n beef Bourgogne. Tannins soft. Not a wow wine but enjoyable.

On night one- opened and poured about 1/2 prior to sitting down to dinner. Lovely wine in classic tradition. Dark berry backbone with fine tannins, spice, chocolate and rosemary/thyme. Finish was relatively long. One night 2 this showed signs of fading. Still pleasant but the wonderful flavors were a little faded. Still silky smooth. I would say if you have any left drink now.

Cork is degrading quickly. First 5 minutes open offers some really funky smells, in a good way. After about 30 minutes this mellows out into a nice mature cab. Oak is present but not dominant, not flabby. Overall pretty pleased.

If I recall correctly, I spent $30 for this wine and it was a fantastic value. Deep chocolate, cherry nose. Bright cherries, currants, blackberries, cocoa on the palate. This is drinking very nicely. Had alongside a 2007 Col Solare and it more than held its own. Over-oaked and flashy. And delicious. Sometimes you have an itch and you know what it takes to scratch it. I wanted something full and textured and this was it. Watery miniscus but still very dark and red color; cherry pipe tobacco aroma; hot body with cherry , cassis, and lots and lots of oak.

Wonderful on open, but losing steam on Day 2. Nose was great with complex and powerful mix of blackberry, stewed plum, buttered popcorn, cocoa, vanilla, and gravel. Silky smooth and rich when tasted. Well made Bordeaux blend with solid age. Top of the cork was slightly stained upon opening, but there were no noticeable flaws. Fruit is still lively while structure continues. The wine takes about an hour to come together, and improves from there. Tart cherry and berry fruit; not very earthy. Medium bodied in the classic blend style rather than a big overbearing Cab.

Inviting nose of red fruits, spice, some graphite and tar too. Very delicious palette of dark red cherry that moves into red currants and raspberry mid-pallette with just the right amount of acidity to remain fresh and vibrant. Tannins are integrated with some oak hints on the silky medium long fruit filled finish. Certainly in the peak maturity range now, it should continue to drink well for a few more years. Drink now-2020.

Buttered popcorn all over the nose and palate that lasted for close to three and a half hours before it faded away and the wine took a sharp nosedive into astringency. Popped the cork mid day. Very light stained cork. Decanted for 3 hours and poured back in the bottle to take to the restaurant. Nose was mild with little going on. Light in color in the glass. On the palate, the wine had silky smooth tannins, but not much else. Light in body with little fruit. The wine was good, but I was wanting more fruit and bigger body. Good, but just ok and a little disappointing...

Or 90, whatever. Nice bottle. Although I have not had many, my sense is that this bottle is a good exemplar of Washington state Cab. Full flavored, but not overpowering. As others have noted, good richness and depth. Benefited from decanting and was even better on Day 2. Next one, I will open further in advance -- perhaps a few hours.
