This is terrible.....herbaceous and green. A little cherry on the midpalate, and then gets walloped by nasty bell pepper flavors. I wouldnt even cook with this unless I was making stuffed green peppers.

This 2008 Merlot has layers of intense flavors and textures. Aromas of ripe plum, blackberry and tobacco leaf fill the glass. On the palate, the wine offers flavors of dried cranberry, cherry, and black licorice. A silky middle palate, followed by a long toasted oak finish, make this wine a perfect complement to grilled poultry or braised short ribs.

Cherry and a little woody on the nose. Even more cherry and berries all the way through the finish. Good solid 9 buck Merlot.

Drinkable, but definitely past its prime (predictably so, can't fault the wine). It was fairly thin, tannic and a bit astringent. Flavors of oak and apricot were most notable. Would have been much better 7 years ago for sure.

SMELL: Campfire and forest floor. TASTE: Very tannic and bitter. Not all that enjoyable to drink.
