Just starting to brown now. Earthy loveliness has set in now that the tannins aren't blaring and the heaping abundance of fruit has toned down. Cork was crumbly and this was the last bottle of the 2007 I had. Too bad, now I really like it! But now, there's no doubt this wine can make it nearly 10 years.

Delicious zin. Not overly jammy, but full of fruit flavors and spice. Very nicely done.

Very nice for the price. Great with a good steak! Notes of fruit and spice. Dark color and fruit flavors of blackberry.

Aromas of blackberry, sage, and brambles. Inky dark garnet in color. Flavors of cedar, sage, spice, blackberries and hint of blueberry with long, tangy finish.

Very nice Paso Zin. Good fruit without being too jammy. Smooth, medium-full mouthfeel.

Surprised the scores on this Kunin are relatively low. It's a gem. Translucent magenta/black color. Raspberry nose. Fat red fruit, classic zin bramble berry spice flavor, some oak, nice acids, a little short/thin on the backend, but a great zin for the price.

Sourced from two vineyards on the west side of Paso, but you probably could have guessed that. This sees a quarter of new oak with a mix between Italian and French. Shows the typical Paso nose to me -- very bramble with lots of black fruit on the nose. Rich and ripe, as expected from 15.6%, hot on the back to me and hot on the finish. But the palate entry is sweet and lively. Would prefer it to be …

A berry party in your mouth, but more acid and structure than I expected along with some serious spice on the back end.

Ripe and fat with pretty flavors of blackberry, dried cherry, and raspberry. Rich, smooth and velvety on the palate with little oak flavors, but lots of big fruit.

Gorgeous, and shockingly well-balanced for a wine that clocks in at almost 16% alcohol, this offers classic Zin aromas of roasted fig, plum, blackberry and spice. Full bodied, with good structure and persistent flavors of dried fruit and oak spice.
