I opened this bottle two hours in advance. Not decanted. My mind plays tricks on me and moves my nose to Languedoc. Very usual when I drink bobal grape with these aromas of garrigue, sandalwood, asphalt, black plums and black currants yoghurt plus a saline note. Invasive no more. Medium-bodied on the palate, suave and silky with a savoury finish. Good length and some depth. Firmly recommended at the present moment. Mine has been sleeping nine years in my cellar. …

Drinking beautifully now and at the risk of losing my credibility, reminds me of a Pommard for some reason. Soft red colour which was translucent enough to make out my fingers on the other side of the glass. Cherries, earth, spice and enough complexity to make a very interesting long lunch. Not usually a fan of Spanish wines, but this is changing my mind. Delightful.

Taste better on second day. Few more years in cellar will help.

Cherry nose; palate is dark fruit and loads of acidity with a backbone of ripe tannin. To my mind drinking really well now, but ideally another couple of years would be perfect! Rock on Bobal!

This was tremendously disappointing given the ratings. Modern primary boring.

rich nose, not as jammy as I could remember but still rich in black fruit, oakiness seems to have disappeared on the first impression, but comes back later on in the mouth. Palate is dominated by the same impressions as the nose, but more balanced out by freshness which takes the upperhand near the finish to provide a certain lightness to it. I would prefer drinking it with food.

This wine is absolutely delicious, especially for the price... this bottle can compete and beat many of the high dollar wines

Nose is intoxicating with blackberry jam, cola nut and this fascinating roasted/smoky nuance. Midpalate is med/full rich texture with a touch of sweetness, finish is repeat of previously mentioned flavors with mocha and incredibly sappy and lasts 30+ seconds. -- Consumed at at cellar temp: 60°-65° F. Friends don't let friends drink red wine at room temp!

Have to agree with Dre - there's distinctly Aussie note in this. Not sweetness, but rather (black-currant) fruitiness.

I bought this bottle because it was made from BOBAL grapes. Never had them before, so..... I think they are mainly used to make Rose in Spain. I think it was a good bottle. Fruit was forward and smooth, tannins balanced. Not much nose.

Opened for Mavericks vs Thunder NBA semifinal game 4. This was very nice with excellent deep round fruit with the correct amount of oak spice. It is an excellent wine and I regret only getting 2 bottles but it is at its peak now. Remainder was equally good on night 2.

Sweet nose of candied red fruits, cough syrup, herbs de Provence, and a bit of coffee and toffee. Dry palate with cloying dark fruits, Very OZ in style with its voluptuous palate and moderate tannin structure. I love the big black pepper note that is layered with woody spice and coffee. Moderate long finish. Excellent Quality. 89 pts. Drink now - 2016

Very interesting aromas of dark fruit and tobacco; mysterious and inviting. Intense black fruits, with thick tannins coat the back of the mouth with a lingering tobacco aftertaste. A little sweet, which i found pleasant. A big wine yes, and there is noticable acid to liven things up. This is a good quality wine, which may improve on the second day. Too expensive for what it is though.
