I liked this more than last time. Seemed richer and better balanced than previously.

2010 Disgorgement. This did not have the intense reduction of the other bottle I had tried upon release which was one thing I had loved about it most likely due to the age it had blown off. But this is a very charming Champagne and the best of the Taittinger lineup with the possible exception of Comtes which I do not have a lot of experience with. I would say while delicious, full, fruit, and vibrant. This Champagne does come …

With age I appreciated this a bit more. Nice tertiary development but still fresh enough.

Serverat något för kallt men här finns citrus, ananasgodis och brioche. Gott partybubbel.

Golden yellow with some darker reflections. On the nose, peach and white nectarine. A touch of smokiness, though relatively subdued. Lively, with beautiful maturity – a hint of brioche, a note of hazelnut, juicy yellow peach, and a clear, chalky minerality. A slight bitterness lingers on the finish. A fine Champagne that would also pair very well with food.

A different style than I normally associate with Taittinger, reserve wines on the nose, yeasty, more ripe fruit on the palate. Really tremendous effort.

Extremely enjoyable over 2 days. Apple, brioche, pineapple, nicely balanced.

Pairing with Sushi well, smooth and not too dry.

This Champagne has an almost ethereal quality, presenting a remarkable lightness that dances on the palate. It is very dry, with subtle flavors that may be understated, yet the bouquet is truly captivating, particularly the exquisite aroma that lingers in an empty glass afterward. However, it is worth noting that the overall value for the money leaves much to be desired.

Deep straw in the glass. Medium-to-high acidity, full mousse. Primary tree fruit aroma of green apple, and yellow apple. Citrus fruit aroma of lemon pith, and quince. Tertiary yeast autolysis aromas of toasted brioche and almond. Notes of apple, citrus, cream, and baguette on the palate. The finish is tart, crisp and clean, with a long finish.

Lovely. Not my preferred style of Champagne, but well made and balanced. Lovely really. Perhaps not the best value for money as there are a lot of champagne in this price point I would rather drink, but you won’t be disappointed. Good food bubbles. Pinot forward. Worth trying.

Fun wine, fresh and easy, brioche, lemon, ginger, brown sugar- fullish body, feeling the dosage a bit here, I believe- comes off a bit sweet and full in the mouth (pinot influence, I assume as well). Overall, very good, fun, easy. Drink now

Fresh, easy drinking and enjoyable. Not a top notch Champagne but still nice.

Easy drinking bottle with basic but solid quality. Apple, lemon, brioche, butter notes comes intuitively. Decent acidity with secondary notes. After 2 hrs fully shows its taste but a little void in palate and bubble became too weak, fade away too soon for me.

Just a little lacking in character, or too much uninteresting character...not sure if that makes sense. It is original, but is not as refined as their other wines despite the single vy bottling. 90? 89? K&L Tent Champagne tasting

(Disgorged in 2022, base year 2015, 55% Pinot Noir and 45% Chardonnay) Light yellow colour with a greenish hue and a fruity nose showing red apples, minerals and with a hint of tutti-frutti and popcorn. Smoothing citrus acidity with a creamy mid and showing with a distinct plums peel bitterness on the lengthy finish. This should reward some further cellaring to open up. (Probably best with 3-9 years extra cellaring)

Lemon, touch of figs, spices and oak on nose. Palate with some subtle complexity from oak but not overwhelming. Quite deep but perhaps lacking in real interest versus the blends considering it is a monocru.

Rich nose of vanilla, butter, brioch and ripe yellow apples. Small but intense bubbles. Light but creamy on the palate with rich flavors of red grape, very ripe yellow apples, vanilla and buttery brioche.

There is a nice complexity to this champagne but it lacks a bit of energy and minerality. A bit disappointed, was hoping for better for the price.

Love this Taittinger single vineyard. Fresh and lively wine. Classicly styled and a big step up in complexity from La Francaise.

Light, fresh. Very light brioche subtle nose. Aperitif style, dosage a bit obvious. Not a lot of complexity. A sparkling to quaff but not to deeply spiritually commune with. Don't think I would want to drink a bottle. More creaminess as the wine breathed. Perhaps it needs time to put on some complexity? Not sure of the disgorgement date but feels as if I have a young bottle.

Last bottle and lovely. Still fresh, citrus-sharp stone fruits and plenty of bubbles. A biscuity note right at the finish. A couple of decades in and the edge is just coming off the acidity. A perfect Christmas aperitif.

Tasted blind and was presented as ‘dessert wine’. Many of us went directly for dry Sherry, well, we were all wrong but it was still a delightful experience. Deep amber colour. Aroma of toffee, hazelnuts, coffee, dried plums, tobacco. Palate is completely flat but showing some unique and pleasant flavours of coffee, toffee, plum and dried orange skin hints along slightly sweetish and saline notes, concludes with bright and round acidity.

From magnum it was immensely intense and with pronounced herbal aroma not unlike a DP or may be Comtes. Steely in style, very high acidity and very fresh. Rather clear and light colour and lots of bubbles.

Dosage much less noticeable 5 years on, all the better for it.

Still plenty of acidity and bubbles - feels quite young, but starting to develop nicely. Very much in the house style - lemon citrus fruit, touch of cream, yeasty edge. Dosage was noticeable, but came across as honey rather than sugar. This was better than expected though is not fully integrated and has a good way still to go.

Never drink much sparkling wine and first vintage champagne so no real reference points. Bit more depth compared to other sparkling wines and very enjoyable but not sure the extra expense is worth it.
