Ripe, rich and fresh plums and violet with sweet spices and toasted cinnamon and cumin on the nose and palate. Medium-bodied structure, off dry and fruity. A summer day wine. Tannins are super soft and fine on a polished finish. Made for early drinking. Pull and pour quality, decanting not needed.

Fulled bodied, meaty, smoke, blackberry, dusty tannin. Balanced.

Solid. The kind of wine you’re thrilled to see at an event or wedding. Little Berry and spice. Not getting earthy but pnp and drank at supermarket so not an ideal drinking sitch.

As noted a few tasting notes ago, the key to malbecs is nose and balance. Beautiful nose, with black and purple fruit, and herb, spices, flowers and chocolate in the background; on the palate, lush, dark fruit and some umami on the background, well-balanced by a splash of acidity and smooth tannins; decent midpalate and soft, fruit-driven finish. Amazingly it's still highly drinkable in its 8th year. A bit too acidic when first opened. Berries, fruits and oak starts to show after decanting for an hour or so. Not bad for this price point.

Delightful everyday Malbec. Yes, it is sub $13, but it punches well above it’s price range. Hint of dark berries, rose petals, semi dark chocolate, tobacco, leather on the nose and palate. Taste of blackberries and other dark fruits with some herbal notes. Medium full bodied wine with very nice smooth aftertaste. However, for me the mouthful is too light (86 points), my wife likes the wine very much (90 points), makes together 88 points :)

Pleasant on the nose, though it need time to open up. Black fruit, blackberry with herby notes, bay leaf and thyme. Medium/full bodied without overpowering tannins. Smooth aftertaste. Drink with beef stew, grilled meat or chili (tannins won't mess too much with the spices)

Really enjoyed this wine. Took a bit to open up, will probably grab a few more bottles to cellar for a little longer. Big plum and berry notes on the nose, with some smoke, oak, and sandalwood. On the palate this had blackberry, blueberry (jammy), licorice, slight oak. This was well-rounded, medium-full bodied, medium tannin, and smooooooth. It had a good medium/long finish. I was a big fan.
