Past it's prime, but once it opened up it was really good. Effervescence was all but gone, still enjoyable with the right mind set.

Wow, this is fantastic. Strawberry and yeast on the nose. In the mouth, tiny bubbles percolate and pop with a yeasty and nutty effervescence. Mild acidity, brioche and perhaps a hint of citrus. This is how all sparkling wines should be. I wish I had more because this is one of the best bottles of bubbles we have had in a long time.

Wonderful bubbly. Had it with a vintage Ayala and for me the Schram destroyed it. Great touch of sweetness. Ive never had a sparkling wine to partner the main course before (lamb rack with garlic and onion potatoe gratin) and it totally stood up to it and was wonderful with it. Really really enjoyed this wine.

Bought this sparkling at the winery during a wine trip to celebrate our 25th wedding anniversary. Luscious pale salmon color and bright strawberry essence with citrus and almond notes. Will have to look for more of this locally...such a pleasure.

Pale salmon color. Not as aromatic in the glass as expected, but fresh and zippy with plenty of melon and strawberry all finished with a citrus zest. Served in a sauvignon blanc glass, not a flute, and struggled a bit to hold the bubbles. Finishes sweet, but relatively clean.

I generally like all things Schramsberg. Always liked this, but then my palate graduated to the diving L-P Rose and, well, there's a reason that costs twice as much as this! This Schramsberg is now a bit too sweet to my liking, but I certainly wouldn't turn it down if offered this at a cocktail party....

This wine was a total surprise and a total revelation. It was produced with the traditional Champagne method and I would have sworn this was a Champagne. This was rich and delicious and I so wish I had more than the 1 bottle I have just drunk! I have had a few Iron Horse wines before and this is way better.

Always consistent, always delicious. This Brut rose is definitely a Brut (not too sweet), and delivers with the red berry and toasty favors that will leave you wanting more. Buy direct from the winery though, or expect to pay a nice markup everywhere it's for sale (unless it's on sale).

Wow. I need to buy more of this. Dry yet fruity. Totally enjoyable. When the bottle was done (four if us) went looking for more.

Pink-tinged salmon. Nice effervescence. Nose of yeast, cherry, and vanilla. Ripe juicy palate of cherry, nuts, yeast, strawberry, and a little lemon peel. Excellent length. Creamy texture. Delicious acidity. Hint of milk chocolate (OK, maybe it's just me).

Pretty, rich salmon color, fuller bodied texture. Intriguing aromas of strawberries, raspberries, and toast. Dry, but there's plenty of fruit on the palate showing clearly identifiable flavors of rich strawberry, raspberry, and citrus fruits, underscored by a yeasty tang on the long flavorful finish. IMHO, across the board, Schramsberg produced much better sparklers in 2007 than they did with the 2006 vintage!

Aromas of strawberry, citrus and toast. Strawberry, lime, crisp apple and toast on a long creamy finish. A memorable taste of spot prawns and sparkling wine. Hit the spot. Well balanced.
