Deep Woods Estate Cabernet Merlot

Bit meh unfortunately. Nothing much to smell on the nose and the palate is similar. Not tainted or anything like that, just meh. Disappointed, was expecting this to be a cracker. Oh well.

Not as enjoyable as I’d hoped. Maybe needs more time ?

Initially closed but reveals cassis menthol and leather with firm ripe tannins. The intro was savoury but as it opens out it reveals sweetness, to produce a commendable length of finish. Still young with plenty to go and should improve in bottle. 87 pts

Still a bit closed, needs time.

Drinking really well already. Will be difficult to keep this in the cellar!
