Bindi, Block 5 Pinot Noir, Victoria

Fruit sweet , ripe, stylish, fine tannins. Lovely balance and no hint of its cool climate origins.

Outstanding pinot noir, lovely some chariness on the nose and palate, great grip and mouthfeel, well structured fruit and everything in balance.

Excellent pinot, with impressive power shining through soft mouthfeel. Great length.

Just a touch less rich and complex than the 8/11/13 bottle but still a great and classy bottle of Pinot.

Good fruit and structure, spice and lacknfruit great concentration

Darker in color than either of the two former bottles. Rich and complex with outstanding depth and length. WOTN and perhaps the best Aussie Pinot Noir I have ever had.

This bottle was a touch deeper and more complex than the 9/19/11 wine. The mineral-quality of the fruit was a great match with cold poached salmon. Still very fresh.

Something resembling a little medicinal with menthol and eucalypt notes in addition to the lovely spiced berry fruit and washed granite hint. Structure is a highlight. Very pure mineral driven pinot fruit wash over the mid-palate with lacy tannins. There is a distinct mineral element that I can only describe as being similar to drinking really hard water - the stuff that leaves a stain in the basin. Light ruby color. Complex aromas of red fruits, raw meat, yeast and spices. Ripe, but very structured fruit in the mouth with excellent depth and length and well-integrated tannins. Very Burgundian in style. Not a blockbuster but very fine and a delicious food wine. Could improve with another year or two of bottle age.

A very tight wine, teasing you with what it has to come in the following years. Will be something special in time, but still very pleasant now.
