Bright green apple, almost ripe yellow pear on top of yeasty notes reminiscent of brioche. Depth emerges as it warms slightly. Drinking very well now.

Quite caramel notes now so this is definitely becoming more evolved. For me that’s not quite as welcome as when I last had this a few years ago. Still lovely though

Absolute beautiful vintage, as this is the year we graduated high school! Ugh, it sucks to be old. On sight, honey golden in color, very fine little bubbles. It's showing its age beautifully. Nose is deep and complex. Deep toffee, brioche, almond skin, nuttiness, lemon curd, amd limestone. On the palate, bubbles are fine and give a merlot-like hug, acidity is still high, complexity is high, alcohol is medium, mousse is light and airy. Flavors mimic the palate, but include …

Baked apple, yeast/brioche, marzipan on the nose. Yellow apple, cream and toasted almond on the finish, still long lasting acidity and fuller body that fills the palette. Would buy again

A pale yellow color in the glass with fine bubbles Aromas of lemon and baked apples A light acidity and flavors of apples walnuts and lemon... A medium finish Have been a Riddlers Club member for over 20 years and a fan of Schramsberg since the mid 80's........while this is no Krug .....it is our go- to champagne........without breaking the bank......

With a few bottles in the cellar, I figured why not check in on it. Nerdy tech stats show a pH of 3.06, 9 g/L dosage, 7.5 years on the lees and about 1/3 of the fermentation occurred in barrel. From a cool vintage, I had expectations of a crisper wine than what I typically find from a J Schram bottling. My expectations were kind of met, but not really. This holds true to the richer J Schram style, featuring …

Pale lemon with medium intensity developed aromas of lemon, bread, yeast, and almond. This wine has high acidity and alcohol with medium body. The wind has medium intensity flavors of lemon, lime, biscuit, almond, peach. This is a good wine that should be drunk now.

A bit perplexing as I enjoyed it overall, yet with more age wine has become somewhat tropical and funky. Still good, but was hoping for more brioche vs apricot.

Chilled, popped and poured. Really fresh nose of red apples, lemons, cream and a hint of toffee. Really great acidity and mouthfeel, with a more honeysuckle, biscuit and mint-like finish on the palate. Really vibrant, fruity and yet textured and layered at the same time. Superb.

A solid effort for certain, but well short of previous iterations. To me it had toasty, beautiful scents but did not follow through on the flavours. It was harshly acidic, very thin, somewhat (or very much) yellow apple driven. So much so that others around mentioned it reminded them of Martinellis sparkling cider; Can you imagine the horror that shown on my face? I hope it comes together in a few more years, because although it is a tasty wine, …

Been a member with Schramsberg for about 4 years now and have been impressed with every wine I’ve had from them so far. I believe they are a SOLID competitor to any Champagne in comparable and even higher price points. This one is no different. At 14 years old, it’s in its prime right now. Still fresh enough to think this one has another 3-5 years left, maybe more. Beautiful deep golden color. Nose of honey, baked apple pie, sweet …

Wow, this bottle is in a great spot. While this wine has always been a little too sweet for my preferences, today it seems nicely balanced. There is definite sweet strawberry, but I was eating local strawberries so who cares?! Age has been kind; the nutty, yeasty quality adds interest. There are hints of melon and a hint of lemon curd. Tight bubbles and balanced acidity rounds out the finish.

Pretty good strawberry and some lighter, less severe watermelon notes here. The wine has a nose with a lot of sweeter strawberry and nutty notes. Enters with tiny bubbles all around, coating the glass and your mouth. The finish is VERY mildly tart and quite dry. Overall I think this wine is doing great, especially given its roots. Very well balanced sparkler. Takes me back to touring and tasting in the cave.
