The 2011 I had a couple of days ago was fun for 30 minutes and then died in front of us. Basically the same thing here: better than 2011 with a lot of promise upon opening. This showed a super mature nose of a walk through a forest on a rainy day along with some stewed red berries. It initially had some acidity lifting the whole to an enjoyable Pinot experience. A Wikipedia article described Sancerre Rouge as a "quaffing" wine. I would have to agree - it's definitely a casual wine that would go well with an early summer barbeque or with a lighter set of appetizers. The wine looks Ruby colored. The legs are Fast. It smells like Red Currant, and Stoniness. The body is Light/Medium. The wine has Smooth texture. The wine finishes Short.
