Rubinrot; im Duft mit rosa Grapefruit, etwas Cola, deutliche Holznote; am Gaumen rund im Auftakt, dann jedoch mit leicht trocknenden Tanninen, mittlere Länge. Etwas konstruiert.

Black currants, cherries, cedar, and cocoa are the intro to the wine. Medium-bodied, chewy, savory, fresh, and vibrant, you find a minty edge to the sweet and spicy currants on the palate and in the finish. The wine blends 70% Cabernet Sauvignon with 30% Merlot, 13% ABV. Harvesting took place September 23 - October 8. Drink from 2027-2040. 90-92 Pts

En Primeur campaign for the 2024 vintage Day Five (Bordeaux) : Low intensity aromas of non delineated dark fruits and lozenges, spice, touch of greenness. Palate equally pulled back but with sourly jubey dark hued fruit, a little chocolate; cocoa powder, sweet spice, powdery tannic burr, that persists with the fruit, gentle extraction. Okay.

A surprise, such a weak vintage and still drinkable, even a bit more due to a natural freshness.

Christie's Pre-Sale Tasting (Amsterdam) : Lovely mature colour; still good weight, good fruit and balancing tannins.
