Château La Serre Valdobbiadene Prosecco Superiore Colsenta

Light to medium gold. Tiny bubbles, not persistent. Nose is tight, maybe a little yellow apple, seashells, rubber, and iron. Not a lot of foam, medium (+) body, medium acid and finish, with green apple, kiwi, iron, and minerals. Light bitterness on the back end. Not bad, but could use a bit more acidity, and the batch my bottles are from are drink em sooner than later.

Lacking acidity

Last opened one in 2021. Probably held this too long. Still good but more like a Brut than a Dry.

This wine is "dry", which somewhat confusingly means that it's slightly sweet (22g/L of residual sugar). This, combined with fairly low acidity, means that it's not very interesting but would probably be a good crowd pleaser or spritz mixer.

Crisp and dry. Perfect for Momosas.

Off dry despite the label, canned pear/fruit salad with some exotic floral notes like moscato or Gewurz. A big step up from the Prosecco swill you get at a bar or whatever, and good value for $13 from WTSO, but I much prefer the style of crémant or Cava. 5.5-6/10

Pleasant opener with appetizers.

This was a dry prosecco and was too sweet for my taste, but my wife really liked it.

Crisp and fresh. Lite tannins and slightly sweet. Perfect for Momosas

Ultra pale near clear color. Drank 2 glasses on the deck with our Caprese salads. I really like this wine. This was very dry and mineral driven, apple, subtle lychee and maybe a hint of kiwi. The palate follows the nose, crisp and clean, mineral, light apples, yeast, a hint of lychee, and much more dimension than the vast majority of Prosecco's. Loved it. 89+pts.

Pale yellow in the glass, soft effervescence tiny bubbles, ripe fruits, golden apple, pear, quince, citrus blossom, soft acidity, medium body and finish. Nice.

Citrus, tropical, and white flower nose. Tasted tropical and stonefruits, with very smooth bubbles. No yeast or nuttiness at all. It's fairly sweet. The finish was reminiscent of Jolly Ranchers or Starburst, almost.

I drink a ton of bubbles, but not much Prosecco. I became frustrated with the either overly nutty or overly sweet (or both) style that characterizes most of the wine. There is a lot of interest in this Prosecco. Some tropical fruit, citrus, ample sugar and acidity. This is a nice and inexpensive sparkler.

POTP (Party on the Peninsula); 7/14/2016-7/17/2016 (Door County, WI) : Pale gold color. Drank a couple glasses and burned through a couple bottles over nearly 2 hours. This was another crowd pleaser on a fairly cool evening walking and sitting on the shores of Lake Michigan. I'm already regretting not picking up more of these.
