Being the 2011 vintage, I hoped this would be easy drinking as we had to PNP at a restaurant. The wine is in its drinking window as tannins are fully resolved and tertiary notes forming. Given the vintage, not sure how this does over the long haul, but enjoyable now.

Drank to celebrate DBW’s 36th bday in Longport. PnP at La Cucina. Beautiful wine.

Not as detailed or nuanced an expression of the site as a 2010 Paul Hobbs I just had, but a well made wine from great grapes. Steeped black cherry, plumb cobbler, tea and tobacco notes all balanced with well integrated tannins, medium long finish.

Drank blind with the other two 2011 The Debate single vineyard wines. Nose of five spice, clove, and cinnamon. Black fruits and black pepper with a touch of smoke followed by a rush of acidity with cherry pit. Finish shows big, polished tannins, strong vanilla, and powerful oak. 2nd place.

This wine is in a lovely spot right now - i actually think 2011 being a cool year plays well into the style of this specific bottling. It’s plenty ripe, relaxed and settled in, with nice depth. Brighter than many examples of TK fruit - not as much of the coffee note i often see - but vey well done.

Rarely spend this much, but worth it. Rich color, not showing its age. Soft in the nose with dark fruit and leather mouth delivers cherry, blackberry, and ripe plums. Fruit is tempered by soft tannins and pleasant acidity. Drank it by itself it was lovely.

Deep Ruby, Soft and silky with Rich Red fruit, cassis and hints of pepper. Complex but very approachable with full ripe tannins and balanced acidity. A delectable and long finish. Paired exceptionally well with Rib Eye. A real pleasure.

Full bodied, full of delicious black fruit with big but well rounded tannins and long finish. I loved it.

Best of the three. Voted 3-1. Nose wasn't as prominent as the Missouri Hopper, but the palate was fuller and deeper. Black and red fruit. Full bodied. Bit of leather on the finish. Drink now.

PnP, intense nose, fresh tobacco leaves, dark fruits, on the palate, high acidity, fresh and lively, doesn’t taste like a 10 years old wine. Medium plus finish. Can tell it is high end Napa cab from the first sip.

Dark fruits on the nose. Medium low tannin, medium acidity, typical napa cabernet.
