This has continued to develop and mature and can continued to be cellared at least 3-5 years. It improved significantly once the alcohol dissipated on the nose so Id recommend a 2 hour decant. Nose- dried plum and pancake batter (wheat & vanilla) Eye- inky dark purple crystal clear clarity with thick long legs (high alcohol & concentrated) Mouth- warm, soft and full. Ripe dark berries but dry with lingering tannin without turning sour. Id definitely buy again.

So pleased I let this sit in the bottle. This extra year has paid off. The tannic structure has softened and yet there is still a robust flavor. I have one more bottle and will probably drink it sooner rather than later but Id say there is still enough structure to sit a couple more years without degrading.

Dark and black throughout Acidity is still there, toned down with broad tannins, coming into a nice balance

Dark black licorice and plum Huge tannins; dark and smooth with long mouth-puckering acidity Needs a lot of time to settle down
