Nose was a bit subdued, palate was crisp with delicate mousse and red berries. Medium+ length - great with appetizers or as aperitif. Not overly complex but quite good overall.

A newer labelling, "Cuvée Rosé Brut". Absolutely palest pink. Very light nose, a touch of sugared berry. A little more substance on the palate, but still delicate. Good balance, nice crispness, sweetish fruit. Respectable but a little meek. [Composite cork + cage; 12% abv; Marks & Spencer, listed possibly incorrectly at £13; the white equivalent was on offer at £17].

Tropical fruit nose and the followed by dry crisp redcurrant flavours on entry and some sweet, confected notes on the finish.

Groundhog Day (Taberna Palo Cortado - Madrid) : Smelling like artificial strawberry or gutted mullet fish. Bizarre and very unpleasant. Watery texture, little acidity, shortie. To avoid. I remember low range cava better than this. Oliendo a fresa artificial o a salmonetes destripados. Extraño y muy desagradable. Textura acuosa, poca acidez, cortito. Para evitar. Recuerdo cavas de nivel bajo mejores que esto.

Well so this is rather good champagne, served at very fast speeds.

Pale orange colour. The nose is clean, showing medium+ intensity aromas of rye bread, cream, green apple and hints of red currants. It is off-dry in the mouth with a high vibrant acidity. It has a medium- body and medium+ intensity flavours. The finish is medium+. A bit simple, but zesty and refreshing with a nice concentration and finish.

TWERPS World Cup Blind Tasting (La Cave a Fromage, London) : Golden light rose color, a little sulphur on the nose, soft with just a little acid on the palate. Enjoyable enough.
