Consistent with earlier tasting note - While the 2011 release doesn't measure up to the 2012, it is still a nice drinking wine and is a great value at this price point. Not as polished, full, concentrated or balanced as the '12. Its not the '11 is bad, that's how good or better the '12 is. This is a big forward obtuse wine that begs for hearty bar-b-cue, pasta, pizza or cheese. Dark blackish garnet colored, medium full bodied, bright …

Excellent wine right out of the bottle. Fully mature with excellent integrated dark fruit. Plenty of structure with tannins softened over time. The wine is at its peak, so drink now. Very enjoyable and an incredible value for under $25.

Plenty of extraction here, doesn't look washed out; nose shows nice rich Napa fruit, plums, blueberry, blackberry liqueur, some cassis, lots of creamy oak; palate starts off rich and promising but a little hollow and fairly short finish, higher acid makes this very drinkable; not going to be a great wine but not disappointed with the mid 20s paid for it.

Fruit forward, medium body, nice finish. Very approachable now with some aging potential?

Decanted 20 mins Soft a bit of weak structure and a bit over oaked. Nice bruised apple and vanilla flavors. Acid low weight high. Your standard Napa blend but a bit flabby. Tasty but simple. Worth trying a different vintage at the right price.

Fleming's Walnut Creek Fifty Tastes One Night. Nose of plum and cherry, touch hot, more of the same on the palate, simple, not as good as my last taste on 9/26/2014, fruity taste seemed a touch sweeter but somehow acidic, good value, at its peak (?), medium body, and acidic, medium finish.

With a pleasant bouquet of blackberry and vanilla and a little heat which leads into a palate that is Merlot heavy but well balanced with Cabernet, this full bodied, long finishing wine is tasty, with well integrated tannins and a tinge of acidic bite, well worth the cost. Give it about an hour of air to open it up fully.

had a 2nd taste of this at the WFFT auction mtg. Good mix of black fruit and earthy flavors. Would like to see where this heads.

The Fleming's 100 preview Tasting Event (Flemings Steakhouse, The Domain, Austin TX) : This is a Cabernet Sauvignon/Merlot Blend from new generation wine makers, Josh Phelps and Carlo Trinchero. Fruity and approachable, but fairly simplistic and straightforward. Pass.

The New Fleming's 100 Preview Event. Nose of dark fruit, plum and cherry, vanilla, and touch of dusty earth, more of the same on the palate, simple, complete, well balanced, medium body, and pleasant medium/long finish. My #5 wine of the night.

Decanted for two hours, nose of alcohol and dark fruit and on the palate. This wine was forward but also contained acidic tartness but no tannic grip to keep the acidity in check resulting in an uncomfortable finish.

On a whim, I bought a bottle, not knowing anything about it. I did notice the Trinchero/Phelps names on the back label, maybe that helped me to buy it. It turns out, of course, they are sons of the well known families of Napa. How could I go wrong? Upon opening the bottle that evening, I first noticed a relatively transparent, deep red color. The aroma has a moderate dark fruit character, which intensified over the next hour. The taste …
