What a find! This is a sensational bottle of wine. Picked up a few bottles from the Suisun Valley Wine Coop while in Napa (if in the area stop by and talk to Pat) and it immediately stood out among the 15 pours we enjoyed that afternoon (yes, 15). Very similar experience per my last tasting notes. Long decant. Big, bold Barbera with a long lasting finish. Sadly my last bottle.

Decanted for several hours. Dark deep color. Nose is full and aromatic with black cherry, blackberry. Palate is full with a bold texture. This is a serious concentrated wine that fills your palate with intense flavors of plum, black cherry, spice, and lasting finish of cocoa. High in alcohol but does not come across as hot. 5,14,17,6=92

If you have missed tasting this wine,you should remedy the situation as soon as possible. I have been following (and drinking) this wine since the release of the 2002 vintage. This is the type of wine that I like to kick back and drink with friends anytime. It is typically big and bold for a California red and unlike many of the wines I drink from week to week.
