Rulo Grenache Blanc Boushey Vineyard

Oysters! What a great combination. The wine is fresh and perfectly acidic; wonderful tart fruit.

We opened this on a very hot Sunday afternoon to sip. I liked it. Joan said she thought it was a little rough.

Amazing food pairing wine. Pretty lush fruit on the nose with a good acid/fruit balance on the palate. Finish is lasting and quite perfect. Had it with Halibut and really showed well.

Yet another in the cornucopia of great products coming from Boushey fruit. Nose of pomelo/grapefruit, jonquils, orange pith. Adds green apple and quince in the mouth, with a bit of sandy chalk texture. Fresh and lively but with unexpected weight that seems to provide length on the palate, finishing with a nice amaro bite (though might turn off the very sensitive taster). First I've had from this winery and it is a winner.

Gave to Mom for early Thanksgiving, didn't open.

Aromas of citrus rind, orchard flowers, tall grass, minerality, and a hint of bitter orange. Nice texture in the mouth. Mouthwatering acidity keeps things light and bright but there's also a roundness which adds depth and complexity. In the mouth, tangy citrus flavors and spice dominate. The flavors on the finish aren't particularly long, but the texture coats the gums and persists for 30+ seconds. Clean, crisp with a nice level of acidity. Originally tasted in tasting room at Rulo. Liked it there but loved it with food.

As always. delicious. We really enjoy the combination of crispness and flavor.

Twisted and poured. The color reminded me of a very pale interior of a Key Lime. The nose makes me anticipate a much bigger wine as there are a combination of savory notes along with hazelnut and a tangy yogurt element. The palate goes in the complete opposite direction with sharp citrus notes and what I would consider a "Smartee" candy without the sugar.
