My 2nd bottle, and much better than I remember my first. In fact, I had been holding off opening this because I remembered I hadn't like the first bottle much, and I was pleasantly surprised. Fruity to start, with hints of wood, and a smooth finsih. And I agree, for $7, one can expect al lot less. This was a very good value.

color: Dark Ruby nose: nice - lots of spicy cherry Fruit forward, smooth and soft mouthfeel, but firming in the finish with good acidity. Cherry fruit lingers with hints of graphite and licorice. No oak, so the fruit is the star. Fantastic value @ $7.20.

Fine example of an everyday enjoyable spanish wine. Pairs well with pasta and burgers.

Started off tight and almost shut-down. (I would have thought it was mildly corked if it wasn't for the synthetic closure.) With about a half-hour of air it began to taste like I remembered. Very good QPR.

Excellent value. Almost as high quality as the Kios, but quite distinct. While the Kios could pass for an Aussie, this one reminded me a bit (with air) of a ruby port (minus the oxidation and richness). I can't imagine doing much better for seven bucks.
